A self-expression and portal into 3 very distinct parts of my life- Women, Parenting & Building a Brand.
Women, have always been the root of my existence. Raised by a single military mother, looked over by my older female cousins, caring for my little sister and now raising my own daughter, women and everything that revolves around them is the center of my universe. Over the years I have thought myself into developing strong sensibility to females’ wants, needs and desires, and with this keen awareness, try to incorporate it into every aspect of my life. I love women, love, love, love and am devoted to loving and pleasing women, in all aspects of life.
Parenting, is quite a big responsibility, especially having begun at the age of 20 and now as a single, co-parenting, father. But with great responsibility comes great rewards. My daugher, Malayah, is my rock and soul, she is the ‘why’ to everything in my life. Not knowing my biological father has had many repercussions on my life but has ultimately taught me the most invaluable lesson, to be the Man he never was. This blog will provide insights on the struggles and hurdles of parenting that most couples face together but from the perspective of a young single fathers perspective, one that is quite often overlooked.
Building the Simeon Dacumos Brand, is my goal and ambition in life. I have always had a knack for design, starting as a young child and through my teenage years with designing and re-designing interiors and building models of buildings from my interest in architecture. Then some 7 years ago entered the fashion industry as a fashion-stylist, having worked with an array of big brands and on some major productions. This newly found network of top executives built my confidence to embark upon my high-end lingerie and intimate apparel brand. My acquired knowledge and understanding of women’s desire to alter their bodies enabled me to bring two new shapewear design patents into fruition. This blog will document the journey to developing a lifestyle brand.
